The Story Behind the Camper Van

My Mothers Gypsie.

I’ve always done life a little backwards. I had children young, brought houses, nested and grew through motherhood. I never had a gap year or travelled much overseas, although I have lived in 3 different countries and endless amounts of towns. I’ve always known my soul to be a little restless and probably way more curious than it needs to be. This really heightened when my two children grew up, moved out of home and out of town. As I entered the Otherhood, a phase in life where life as it was, has changed and a new phase begins, from Childhood, to adolescence, to adulthood, to motherhood to the other- (not to sure hood). I’ve been in this hood for a while, so I can say life has been in Rhythm ,I’d Built a beautiful life, home, friendships (that have t turned into family), a very successful Kinesiology and Breathwork business in Margaret River, but as my soul has once or many times before it got a yearning for change, as it did in my 20’s when I moved with my 2 babies to Perth WA from Tauranga NZ, again in my 30’s when I moved my two teens from WA to Bali Indo, to my now 40’s sixth sense has a calling to call the Rd of Australia home.

The idea came in Dec 2024 as they usually do, when I was asking myself out load what am I going to do now??????

It came as a take your Wellness business on the Road travel to different towns, farms, stations, teach people about Breathwork, Kinesiology, their bodies, do your workshops and build awareness of self, expand your network and help expand the minds of others, and that is how my Van life began. (After months of looking, fixing renovating, laughing, crying and just beginning.

In My 30’s, I thought I was going to I Eat, Pray, love my way around Bali as Julia Roberts did, turns out my story had a way darker sense of humour, but it was the beginning of understanding and falling in love with myself, This time around, I’m eat, pray loving around Australia in true Jen fashion of see what, happens and only hind sight will know what it looks like and its end.
